KEMWorks offers experience evaluating all aspects of phosphate mining and beneficiation. KEMWorks personnel have participated in the evaluation of phosphate mines, located throughout the world. These plant evaluations covered all aspects of mining and beneficiation, with recommendations for improvements, for both existing and proposed facilities. We also offer the Dual Extraction Flotation Column a new advanced flotation cell for the energy, non-metallic and metallic industries
Process Development - KEMWorks personnel are familiar with the latest advances in mineral processing technology and have experience in applying this technology in the most cost effective manner. This process development can be done from the early conceptual design stage through process testing and final implementation.
Cost Modeling - Computer cost models have been developed to estimate operating and capital costs for use in project economic studies. These cost models cover phosphate mining, beneficiation phosphoric acid, DAP/MAP granulation plants. KEMWorks personnel have extensive experience in the application of these models in various types of studies. These studies have been optimization of mine, beneficiation plant, and blending facilities for grassroots sites; de-bottlenecking of existing operations, market position studies to determine optimum product mix, and due diligence investigations.
Computer Modeling - Computer models have been developed to calculate phosphate property reserves, simulate mine and beneficiation plant operations. KEMWorks personnel have extensive experience in developing and applying computer models that encompass technical and economic considerations. Optimization of mine, beneficiation plant, and blending facilities have been addressed using the models discussed above.
Mapping and Data Visualization - Mapping of geological and environmental data with the latest technology. KEMWorks personnel have provided support to mining companies to generate various types of maps and GIS databases for use in mines planning and environmental permitting activities, using data generated from simulation software, surveys, GPS data collection, digitizing of drawings and aerial photographs.
Software Customization and Development - KEMWorks personnel have integrated commercial and proprietary software and developed procedures to automate many tasks associated with the mapping and data visualization needs of operating phosphate mining companies. Numerous custom applications have been developed to transport information from older mainframe systems onto PC networks.
