South Train Cooler Installation 
Cargill Crop Nutrition, Green Bay, FL

KEMWorks supplied a preliminary engineering package consisting of process flowsheets, P & I Diagrams, and development of complete general arrangements for the installation of a new Rotary Cooler at Cargill's DAP unit at the Green Bay Plant near Bartow, Florida. The total system includes a cooler, solids feed system, solids discharge system, cooler chiller coils to cool and dehumidify the inlet air, and a complete cooler gas stream treatment system (cyclones, scrubber, fan).

KEMWorks prepared all the process documents to obtain a permit modification for the new system. Our scope also included interfacing with Cargill's personnel since they were installing part of the system early and providing for future installation of polishing screens in cooler discharge solids system.

The project allowed Cargill to increase production rates and produce DAP product with good handling characteristics for the customer.
