Uniroyal Chemical Company, Ltd. in Freeport, Bahamas had a specialty chemical plant, which produced material for use in the plastics industry.  One of the main products was a High Performance Anti-Oxidant (HPAO), which permits plastic containers to be used at higher temperatures as in a microwave oven.

KEMWorks Technology, Inc. provided the technical guidance needed to carry out plant improvements and modifications to reduce costs or make other products.

One task was the Solvent Recovery and Yield project, which put another distillation column into use and added some agitated SS slurry tanks to feed the centrifuges.  Design included the new tanks with pumps, heat exchangers, foundations, structural, instrumentation, piping and electrical design.  This was a fast track job and was installed in a congested area while the rest of the plant was in operation.

Work done in the Bahamas required assistance in procurement, expediting and construction supervision, which was provided by KEMWorks.
